Frida Waara
FRIDA WAARA

Frida Waara is a 43-year old videographer who specializes in programs about the outdoors. She began her television career in 1978 at WLUC in Marquette, Mich., and currently owns a video production company. Programs she has produced have won a state Emmy, Teddy Awards from the Michigan Outdoor writers in addition to a Telly Award and a Communicator's Award. Waara is one of the Midwest's top-ranked downhill ski racers who kayaks and bikes in the off-season. She and her husband Ron Thorley and their two children Eryka and Ian live in Marquette.
